Welcome to Howard. These terms explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. By creating an account or using Howard, you agree to these terms, so please read them carefully.

1. What Howard Is

Howard is a platform that helps companies hire marketing talent and helps job seekers find marketing roles they actually want. We match people based on preferences, make it easy to apply, and help hiring teams collaborate.

2. Who Can Use Howard

To use Howard, you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legal contract. You will need to create an account whether you are a hiring company or a job seeker.

3. Accounts and Responsibilities

Hiring companies: You are responsible for what is posted under your company’s account. Keep your login details secure. You agree that job posts are truthful, respectful, and comply with applicable laws.

Job seekers: You are responsible for the information you provide, including your resume and preferences. Please make sure everything is accurate and up to date.

4. How Hiring Works

Hiring companies can post jobs and invite team members to help manage applications. Job seekers can apply to any role they are matched with or discover on the platform. When a job seeker applies, the hiring company will be able to see their application and resume.

5. Payments (Coming Soon)

Right now, Howard is free to use. In the future, hiring companies will need to pay to activate job posts. We will give you clear notice before that happens. Payments will be processed securely using Stripe. A refund policy will be published before payments go live.

6. Respect and Fair Use

Please do not misuse the platform. That includes, but is not limited to:

  • Posting fake jobs or spam
  • Submitting false or misleading information
  • Scraping data or reverse-engineering the service
  • Harassing, discriminating, or acting abusively

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

7. Content and IP

We (Howard) own the platform and everything we have built for it, including the design, code, and branding.
You own your content, such as resumes, job descriptions, and messages. By using Howard, you give us permission to use that content (only as needed) to operate the service.

8. Resume Sharing

Job seekers control who sees their resume. Hiring companies can only view resumes if the job seeker has applied to one of their roles.

9. Availability

We do our best to keep Howard running smoothly, but sometimes things break or need maintenance. While we aim for high reliability, we cannot guarantee that the platform will always be available.

10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Howard is a tool for connecting employers and job seekers. We are not responsible for the outcome of job applications, the accuracy of job descriptions, or the actions of any user.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Howard and its team are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage resulting from your use of the platform. This includes loss of data, opportunities, revenue, or reputation.

11. Termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or misuse the service.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will let you know through the app or by email.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any legal disputes will be handled in the courts of the UK.
